Hi, I listened to the advice given in soil mixes, could you tell me the correct size of akadama, lava rock and pumice you should get or is it determined by the size of the tree and the pot.

I usually strain my Akadama to 3, 5 and 8 mm. Then the largest size at the bottom of the pot and end with the smallest size.

I use fine grains for small trees and big grains for big trees. If it is a species that like whet feets, I go smaller than for species that like less wet conditions. I do not use akadama in any of my soil mixes.
