Zelkova Bonsai - help to rescue/recover was created by Daichi_the_bonsai
Posted 3 months 2 weeks ago #84669Hi Everyone,
My name is Patryk and I come from Poland.
I’m new to the Bonsai. At the beginning of October time I bought a Bonsai Zelkova.
Unfortunately it was overwatered and leaves started to change its colour to black. On 25th of October I changed its soil but I afraid that there is something wrong with it. Its leaves are very dry. I don’t know what to do. The Bonsai is in shadow place, because at the window is a little bit cold.
Could you tell me if this could be the reason, please?
Could you help me and tell what to do, please?
Thank you. This image is hidden for guests.

This is not a zelkova, but a chinese elm. It is a teperate tree that grow best outdoors in most temperate regions. Growing it indoors is quite a challenge that most of the times ends up in failure.
