The Taikan-ten takes place each year in November, in Kyoto. The level of the displayed Bonsai is incredibly high.
The Taikan-ten is one of the few traditional shows that features Bonsai in displays, with scrolls and suiseki. But several contemporary displays can be found as well. The best Bonsai of the show is awarded the Prime Minister Award, this year a Juniper owned by mr. Katsuya (designed by Shinji Suzuki) won the award.
