Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? ALL summer this tree was fine. I'd water once a week. Now it has gotten hard and chips. Easy touch and it falls apart. Upped the water to twice a week and nothing!

Please describe in detail how you care for the plant. And add some photos of the tree and where you placed it.

Tree is right next to the window! And I did attach screen shots the the topic. Are they not showing? Tree is in sunlight. But also have a sun light there too for all the plants.

I am sorry to bring bad news. Your tree is dead. It died because you where trying to keep a temperate tree indoors.
Next time read up on basic care before buying a tree.

The tree survived indoors all of summer. It only started to change when it became winter! When I bought this tree it was bought indoors too. It was never outside!

That is totally normal. A temperate tree can be kept indoors in summer. It is not the best for them, but it can be done. But in winter when the tree needs dormancy it will decline fast. Some species can survive one or two skipped dormancies, but sooner or later they will die. Junipers are from very cold temperate zones and rarelly make it a year indoors.
