I got a bonsai kit for Christmas and I'm super excited! I absolutely love bonsai! I know it'll take a lot of patience and special care to grow one from a seed so I decided to join this group for extra help. The care instructions that came with the kit are most likely insufficient since it came with various species of bonsai. I will do my due diligence to learn everything I need to know about caring and growing my bonsai.

First you do not have any bonsai, seed or otherwise. There is no such thing as bonsai seed. They are tree seeds. It would appear that you have managed to germinate or is that something else? Bonsai from seed takes 15 to 20 years, bonsai are created not grown. If you have seeds then you should sow in whatever pots provided and place in either fridge or freezer, if it is cold outside then place them outside, cover with something to keep animals from digging and wait. In the meantime, buy a book and learn how to create bonsai. If you want bonsai then go to a garden centre and see what small plants are there, there are many species with small leaves for bonsai. Also find a club near you where you will be able to get advice on the species that do well where you are,

Yes "bonsai seeds" is a scam. But it seems like it is a very popular christmas gift.
What species do you have in your kit?

Welcome!
Congratulations on getting the seeds to germinate! The road ahead is lonely and long my dear!
RIght now your aim is to keep these healthy. Ensure plenty of light. Are you in north of southern hemisphere, and what climate do you have?
