So, I have seen where some people are using the Kanuba soil for the Ming Aralia. Is there anyone on here using that soil?

I would just like some advice with it.

Thank you,

Carol

You would be better to ask in a houseplant forum not bonsai. Kanuma is an acidic japanese soil.

My experience is that aralias do better in a somewhat more organic soil than bonsai do. I use standard peat based flower pot mix and add 25% mini leca clayballs for extra drainage and find it to be very good in my conditions. Greenhouse 5 degrees in winter and up to 40 degrees on hot summer days.
