Greetings;
I keep hearing about people cutting their DR seedling's taproot-is that Ok to do and will that hurt the little seedling?
As I have a seedling ready for it if it is OK and will not hurt my little one.

Nothing in growing plants is digital. You have to evaluate the situation, make a decition and then observe the effect and make experience from it.
In this case it means review the condition of the plant. If healthy, bareroot and examine the roots. If there are a good portion of feeder roots on the other roots, the risk of cutting the taproot is smaller. If most of the fine feeder roots is on the taproot, the risk is higher. Make your decition based on the specimen, observera what happens and create your own experience from it. Experience that is valid for your location, climate and care.
