Hi, I'm in Melbourne Australia. I have a mame Hinoki bonsai that has grown well this season. I am wondering if I can repot it into a smaller pot in early fall as opposed to late spring. The roots are filling up the pot too. The weather in Melbourne seems to still be in the mid 20s for the next couple of weeks. My thoughts are, if it's growing roots in fall, I should be able to repot it right?

Thanks in advance!!

I have been repotting junipers December to April and in late August so far. Northern hemisphere that is. I never lost one nor seen any slow down in growth after repotting.

It makes me think that junipers are quite adaptable and that season for repotting is flexible. At least in my climate and conditions. I would not repot in peak of the summer thou. I think good after care is a more important success factor than the time of the year.
