Question is-I just got the plant today. In a 3 gal Nursery pot with soft Nursery soil. Do I repot it now, or what? I am hesitant due to the Nursery soil.
So, unsure of what to do since it is the end of September.

I would appreciate any advice on this.

The plant is most likelly produced in the soil it came with. If it is healthy, the soil has been no threat to the plant. I would just put it into dormancy now and repot before increase watering come spring.
