So I live in Australia and I've just started growing a bonsai from a cutting (a melaleuca)and I'm just wondering what other Aussie trees are good for bonsai?

I'm in a lovely warm part of Queensland where almost anything grows (except if it's in the awful soil). Thanks for the help, I'll have to look for a ficus nerafolia to take a cutting from.

There are various kinds that comes to mind. These are acacia, brachychiton, eucalypts, grevillea, melaleuca, and callistemon. These trees are sun lovers but can also be acclimatised gradually.
