Hi everyone,
After my azalea bloomed in 2022 she looked a little tired. I believe this was due to my moving house plus the huge amount of flowers. For this reason I decided to remove all the flower buds in mid August 2022.
This year the plant seems to be much more healthy and with a super vigorous growth.
My question is about pruning. Usually I prune it after flowering and prepare the plant for flowering the following year. As this year we will not have flowers, how should I proceed with pruning? Do I follow the same pattern as the previous years and prune the plant in June?
Below you can see the last blooming

Are you sure there are no flower buds? I would be pruning in June flowers or not, and if necessary also in late July as the buds will not be formed then.

Yes, I'm sure there is no buds. I just would like to leave the plant rest this year.
Since the plant is showing vigorous grow again. I will prepare it for the blooming next year.
