Hi All,
Just wondering if anyone has any advice. My little tree (in June last year) wasn't watered etc for 2 weeks whilst I was away (someone let me down). I ended up having to strip all the leaves and I put outside and I managed to get it to sprout shoots again and it grew a nice nice ramification but close to the centre.
When the frost hit, I brought inside to protect it and placed in a window that got plenty of sun and I watered as necessary. But after a few weeks it has sprouted lots of new branches with lighter coloured leaves and it's growing so fast I now don't know what to do - do I trim it back, take shoots and re-pot etc. Any advice would be appreciated - I've attached a pic so you can see the new branches etc and how big it's gotten (the dark green centre bunch of branches / leaves is what was there before I brought it inside).
Many thanks

Taking it inside caused it to start growing again, now you have a problem as you can't put it out if it is cold where you are. I am not sure what species it is and can't tell for certain from the picture. The environment is far too warm for it, you just need to keep it watered for now and later in the spring you could prune some of the longer branches. Depending on the species and how cold it gets it should be left outside.

Hi,
Thanks m5eaygeoff for your reply.
It's a sageretia FYI - if that's the case then I might trim away some of the longer new shoots (possibly re-pot them) and put back outside as temps are not supposed to get near freezing again now.
I'll keep the forum posted as to how things are going.

I looked at the plant and it does not look like Sagaretia to me, the leaves look wrong no don't put it out if you are sure it is Sagaretia, they are tropical and need warmth. They do not do well in poor light and low humidity of a house,
