Hi,

This is my first winter with my Chinese Elm bonsai and i've researched that the white fur is because its been overwarted but i only water my bonsai every week or when it feels dry so i dont feel like its because of over wartering? Can someone help?

it can be constant humidity in the greenhouse
it is closed all the time, or do you open it regularly !!!

I agree. This is fungal growth due to high humidity.

Why is it in a greenhouse?

The question was why is it a greenhouse? It needs to be open all day and only closed if the temperature gets below -12C. It would be better outside in the weather.

good evening leatherback turtle, sorry, I misunderstood the question!!! he does not say where he is from, of course he will be much better outside in good weather

In winter I water my chinese elm less than once a month. Its protected in non heated greenhouse and gets no rain. In high humidity conditions,like concealed in small plastic greenhouse I would not water at all. Organic substrate getting fungus is a sure identificator for overwatering.

Ciao a tutti ,sono 4 mesi che il mio bonsai e sbocciato e volevo sapere se sta crescendo bene oppure se il gambo marrone e quei leggeri punti sono causa di malattia .
Io lo bagno 2 volte a settimana ,ma secondo é poco visto che è un cucciolo di bonsai.
