Today I've done some pruning and wiring..

This year it is 10 years after the chop.

This is a very nice example of proggression.
When is the best time of the year to chop the tree like you did ? And what is the benefit to cut it in a V-shape?

Best moment to do the chop is early spring, when there’s not too much sapfloat (is that the right word). When you do it in Summer, the bark will possibly come off. The V-shape will get a better natural shape, and will easier close the wound
